The Kanomax tracer gas
diffuser is for use in performing the tracer gas test in accordance
with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 110-1995. The diffuser is made to the design
and specifications of Standard drawing #110-83M.
The
diffuser is placed in the
fume hood and sulfur hexafloride gas is injected at at supply pressure
of 30 psig. The internal critical orifice ensures a flow rate of 4
liters per minute. Other orifice sizes can be inserted.

All the
components necessary to perform
fume hood tracer gas testing in compliance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard
110-1995. The
components required include an ASHRAE ejector for the dispersed flow of
Sulfur Hexafluoride
into a hood complete with tank regulator and piping train, a manikin
kit for
breathing zone monitoring for detection of loss of containment.
Other
equipment for fume hood testing includes a
thermal anemometer for face velocity measurement, such as Anemomaster
Model
A031. Data stored in the Anemomaster can be downloaded to a
datalogger
from its
analog output. Fume hood data can be analyzed, graphed, and recorded.
